Programs

Girls Incorporated of Lowell provides programs to help all girls develop the skills and tools for becoming women who are strong, smart, and bold.

Due to public school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic, Girls Inc. is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM through June 2021.  Our staff provides support for remote learning during school hours, homework help, and recreational activities after schoolwork is completed. We will be closed to observe national holidays. Summer 2021 programming will be announced based upon statewide mandates we hope will be available in the spring.

We offer our members activities both for mixed ages and for limited age groups, to give girls both the opportunity to learn and share with older and younger children, and to have some special time to focus on activities and discussions with their peers. Our aim is to develop strong interpersonal skills between students while bolstering self-confidence and an awareness of the world around them.

Some of our age-specific programs include Junior Achievement (financial literacy), Operation SMART (science, math and relevant technology), Photovoice (research, literacy and photography), Be Bold (violence prevention), American Textile History Museum Threads of Learning and Pottery (creative arts) and Chicas Leyendo (Latina initiative literacy program).

Please see our Policies page for information regarding refund and cancellation policies and our communication expectations.
