Join 10 fun-filled weeks of summer camp with field trips, swimming, and weekly themes. Summer camp provides girls ages 5 to 14 with active, hands-on enrichment activities in a fun and safe environment. Members are divided into groups based on age. Each group is staffed by qualified personnel who work with the members to plan and implement activities that promote cognitive development, artistic expression, social-emotional growth, and physical education. Members hone leadership and critical thinking skills and combat summer learning loss. Summer camp is available Monday through Friday (early drop-off is available from 7:30a.m.-8:00a.m. for an additional $5 per day) 8:00a.m.-5:30 p.m. Lunch and snacks are provided.
Girls Inc. provides life-changing programs and experiences to girls ages 5-18. Through educational, interactive programs, we help girls reach their full potential. Programs are nationally researched, outcomes-based, and delivered on an outreach basis. Program topics focus on leadership, peer pressure, science exploration, and self-awareness for girls ages 6 to 18.
The purpose of Girls Inc. is to enable girls to achieve their full potential. To do this, girls must conquer social, legal, and cultural barriers that are different than those of boys. By providing programming created specifically for girls, their needs, and their unique challenges, we are able to put them on the same playing field as boys as they grow through life and become independent and responsible adults. Girls Inc. programs aim to improve girls’ lives through purposeful, relevant activities.
At Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell, we offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of girls of all developmental stages of their life. Girls Inc. academic enrichment programs focus on reading literacy, economic literacy, science, and math. These programs help girls develop enthusiasm for and skills in STEM (science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurial, and math)-based subjects.
Girls Inc. programs are fee-based. Need-based EEC Vouchers and scholarships are available for qualifying families. If you have questions about the cost of the program, payment options and/or scholarships, please call Business and Membership Manager Kiara Veras 978-458-6529 x101 or email email@example.com
Girls Inc. seeks volunteers primarily for after-school homework help, and additionally for career exploration group sessions, financial literacy instruction, and specialty programs from a craft-making class to planting an herb garden. The volunteer will guide our members through a self-discovery exercise, and lead group discussions in a fun and exciting way. Volunteers will work with girls in a small group or one-on-one, typically in classroom settings Monday through Friday. Potential volunteers must undergo a screening process in order to participate.
I drop off my daughter and always think to myself I can go to work knowing she’s safe, learning new things, and having fun with her friends and the staff. Peace of mind, that’s what means the most to me.
My daughter is my life. In this crazy world I just don’t feel comfortable about leaving her with just anybody. I know she’s safe and taken care of there. She loves the staff, and that means everything to me.
Girls Inc. is so important to our family, especially during the COVID school shutdown. Analisa went to Girls Inc. every day at 7:30 where the staff had set up a remote learning center. The girls had support all day long, did their schoolwork, homework, and played in the gym, or watched a movie after school. We wouldn’t have been able to work or manage our younger children if not for Girls Inc. We’re so grateful.
