The “Girls With Goals: Me Inc.!” conference is a day-long event for 100 girls in grades 3-8. This conference gives school-age girls a chance to take part in workshops covering health and fitness, goal-setting and empowerment, and career options. The “Girls With Goals” conference is organized by a variety of Lowell’s social service agencies. The high caliber and quantity of volunteers that work together on this project allow the conference to be presented at a minimal cost to the attendees. A registration fee of $8 covers the full day of activities, lunch and a T-shirt for each girl. Sponsoring agencies are credited on the conference’s programs and T-shirts.(call Girls Inc. 978-458-6529.)
